We've all been there. So much tea in the cupboard that eventually we forget about a package. You know the one, hidden in the back corner in the blank silver package. Not even all those elastic bands can create the perfect seal. Let's face the truth, our tea is going stale.
Have no fear fellow tea friend! For I come with salvation. Roasting! That's right, save your tea by roasting it. You'll need a houruko of course. This is a special ceramic tea roaster that we'll use to convert our Japanese green tea into houjicha (roasted green tea). Prepare for fun, great smells, and a delicious brew by the end of this video!
